Pharmacy is vital to universal health coverage, FIP president Dominique Jordan told politicians at a meeting at the Parliament of Andalusia in Seville today. 

Addressing officials at an event organised by the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain in advance of World Pharmacists Day, Mr Jordan said that pharmacists and pharmacies are integral to a well-functioning healthcare system. “I would like to make known that the pharmacy profession across the globe is committed to and united in action for a healthier world,” he added.

During the meeting, the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain officially declared its joining the World Pharmacists Day campaign and made a renewed commitment to the health of patients on behalf of Spanish pharmacists.
