    Background
    One of the limitations to the more widespread use of lipid-based formulations in oral drug delivery is an incomplete understanding of the influence of lipid digestion on the rate and extent of drug absorption. Here an in vivo model was developed that incorporates simulated lipid digestion and drug absorption in anaesthetised rats.
