Psoriasis is a chronic and complex skin disease, inflammatory, immunologically mediated and recurrent. The pathophysiology of psoriasis is characterized by epidermal hyperproliferation, enhanced antigen presentation, Th-1 cytokine production, expansion of T cells and angiogenesis.
