Perilla is a common culinary herb having unique flavor and is also used as medicinal herb in Asia. It harbors several oil types which contain monoterpenes as principals, and quite a few of them have antibacterial and antitumor activities. Results of studies on elucidating biosynthesis of oil components can make it possible to regulate..
