Clinical pharmacology of antibody-based therapeutics

  • At: Dublin (Ireland) (2013)

  • By: MAGER, Donald (University at Buffalo, SUNY, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Buffalo, NY, United States of America)
  • Abstract:

The in vivo disposition (pharmacokinetics, PK) and action (pharmacodynamics, PD) of biological therapeutics tend to be more complex relative to small synthetic compounds, resulting from a combination of pharmacological and physiological factors. Nonlinear dose-dependent effects on drug absorption, disposition, and response are commonplace.
