Esophageal cancer is one of the most lethal malignancies. Surgical resection of the primary site has been the standard treatment, especially for localized squamous cell carcinoma, but considerable clinical efforts during the last decade have resulted in chemoradiotherapy consisting of a continuous infusion of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), cisplatin.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
