Chemotherapy plays an important role in treating cancer, however chemotherapy is potentially carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic. A risk associated with chemotherapy for patients who are cured of their disease is the development of secondary, or treatment induced malignancies. Patients receiving chemotherapy are also advised to avoid pregnancy.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
