Background: Inappropriate antibiotic use is generally considered to be the primary cause of antibiotic resistance in the community. Well-established guidelines have, thus, recommended using antibiotics only when they are likely to be beneficial. According to CDC (U.S.) guidelines, nonspecific upper respiratory tract infections (URI) are not..
