Pharmacogenomics has been widely promoted as the basis of a new era of drug-based therapeutics tailored to the individual. In its broadest definition, pharmacogenomics is the term now applied to all genetic-based methodologies that are used to guide drug development and the selection of the most appropriate therapeutic regimen for individual..
