    A brief history of DTCA in the USA will be provided along with statistical analysis of the effects of DTCA advertizing. I will examine the results (both social and economic) on the various segments of the health care system- including patients, prescribers, pharmacists, drug companies, health care organizations, insurers, employers, etc.
