Hyperthyroidism has been reported in 1% to 23% of patients receiving amiodarone while hypothyroidism has been reported in 1% to 32% of patients receiving amiodarone. However, the overall incidence of amiodarone-induced thyroid dysfunction is estimated to be 2% to 24%. Hypo- and hyperthyroidism has occurred in the same patient receiving amiodarone. .. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
