Hexetidine (Latin: Hexetidinum) is an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent commonly used in both veterinary and human medicine. It is a local anesthetic, astringent and deodorant and has antiplaque effects. Hexetidine is 1,3-bis(2-ethylhexyl)]-5-methylhexahydropyrimidin-5-amine and its monography is described in the European Pharmacopoeia,.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
