  • Abstract:

    Background

Direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) are a new class of medicines to prevent and treat blood clots. DOACs are considered high risk medicines due to the potential for causing a bleed. Risks associated with warfarin are highlighted to UK patients using a Patient Booklet and Alert Card (PB&AC).  There are no equivalent materials for patients..
