BackgroundsLocal therapy based on biologicals remains a challenge, especially in vaginal therapy. Recent studies indicate that nanosystems with surface-available polyethylene glycol (PEG) are able to penetrate mucus barrier, assure closer contact with the epithelium, and improve drug delivery to vagina.
