The role of pharmacists in the fight against the scourge of HIV/AIDS was effectively put to use when the Federal Government of Nigeria bought and supplied anti retroviral drugs (generic) for HIV/AIDS patients. 25 centers were used in the country. Initial concept was as a drug trial with 200 patients per center, then use was expanded to 500.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
