Approximately 2.600 Dutch pharmacists are registered as community pharmacist specialists. Rules that were introduced in 1995, require that community pharmacists engage in 200 hours of accredited trainings and courses every 5 years in order to stay registered. Recording CPD learning activities in a digital portfolio became obligatory in 2010.
