Chitosan microparticles were prepared with the purpose of incorporating all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA). Morphology, drug content and the release behavior of microparticles were assessed. The interaction between chitosan and ATRA (acidic drug) using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and infrared (IR) spectroscopy as the relation of such..
