Hypercholesterolemia is a known risk factor for development of cardiovascular disease and it is the most common health problems treated with traditional remedies. This present study was conducted to investigate the effects of Piper sarmentosum (PS) water extract on plasma cholesterol level and bioactivity of 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaryl-CoA..
