Background information: Switching branded medications to generics is a common cost-containment practice. Although an important objective for healthcare sustainability, studies of the impact of this practice on patient outcomes are warranted.
Setting: Literature review summarizing the potential clinical and economic impact of switching branded.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
