Background:
Studies on the prescribing patterns of ophthalmological products are scarce.
Aims:
To determine the prescribing patterns of ophthalmological products in South Africa in a private sector patient population.
Methods:
A retrospective drug utilisation study was conducted on 2011 data. The database contained 2298312 records for medicine, The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
