Background:
Niuhuang Jiedu Tablets (NHJDT) is a traditional Chinese patent medicine which contains the mineral drug of realgar (with As2S2 as main constituent) in its formulation. Since increasing cases of arsenic poisoning induced by NHJDT were reported in recent years, the evaluation of arsenic toxicity of NHJDT was critical to its clinical..
