Background
Pharmaceutical care concept was introduced in Costa Rica more than 15 years ago. Jiménez et al conducted a study to describe the pharmaceutical services for patients in private community pharmacies and the main results were: 100% of the pharmacies offer pharmacist consultation and dispensing; 85.6% give drug information and 2.2%
