  Taiwan went into ageing society since 1993, and the elderly population increased by years. Elder above 65 years of age accounted for 8.7% of the total population in Taichung City in 2013. The drug expenditure of the elderly was 38% of the total drug budget for our National Health Insurance Program; they were the major users of the health care..
