FIP makes it a priority to publish the latest developments in pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical sciences, related global news and prominent events. Our multi-media approach to keeping members, partners and peers informed of what is and will be affecting their area of practice or science is key to keeping information flowing through the FIP network.

Advocacy Micro-curriculum Session 1: Advocacy 101
Advocacy is not limited to legislative visits, formal leadership positions, or large-scale policy campaigns. It also occurs through everyday actions that educate others, strengthen patient care, and advance the pharmacy profession. This introductory webinar launches a new webinar series designed to form a practical microcurriculum on pharmacy advocacy. The series will help pharmacy students, educators, practitioners, and early-career professionals progressively build the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to become effective advocates. In this foundational session, participants will explore patient- and profession-focused advocacy, distinguish between formal “Big A” advocacy and everyday “little a” advocacy, and apply a five-step approach to engage in advocacy effectively. Speakers will address stakeholder engagement, evidence gathering, communication, relationship-building, change management, mentorship, and sustainability using examples from diverse regions and health systems. Future webinars will build upon this foundation through modules on advocacy frameworks and resources, policy brief development, emerging challenges and trends, and the creation of evidence-informed position statements.
