Expert speakers will explore the latest hypertension guidelines, multidisciplinary approaches, and the evolving scope of pharmacy practice, showcasing how pharmacists can improve adherence, continuity of care, and patient outcomes. The session will also launch the new FIP publication “Hypertension Pharmacy Toolkit”, offering practical tools to support pharmacy teams in delivering evidence-based, people-centred care. With the world’s population ageing rapidly, pharmacists have a growing role in promoting health, independence and quality of life for older persons. This digital event marks the International Day of Older Persons and brings together global experts to explore strategies from the World Health Organization, updated definitions and preventive approaches to healthy ageing, and the evolving role of community pharmacists. The session will also showcase the e-TRIGGER programme, which targets healthcare professionals working with older adults. Through expert insights and practical examples, the session will equip pharmacists to play a proactive role in meeting the needs of ageing communities.

In the age of GenAI, when answers can be generated at the click of a button, how can we truly know what students can do? The answer: make learning visible! Building on the strengths of traditional Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) in pharmacy education, where clinical reasoning, practical technique, and professional judgement are demonstrated in authentic, observable moments, we have pivoted to Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSPEs). These structured assessments are more than exams; they showcase competence in real-world contexts, bridging the gap between knowledge and professional practice. By engaging students in decision-making, technical proficiency, and communication within real-world scenarios, OSPEs develop not only academic achievement, but practice-ready professionals. They ensure our graduates are equipped with the confidence, resilience, and adaptability needed in a skills-based, rapidly evolving pharmaceutical landscape. In this session, we will showcase OSPEs in action and provide clear, practical guidance on how to successfully implement them effectively in pharmaceutical science education.

 International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP) invites submissions of abstracts for its 2026 symposium. This event welcomes oncology pharmacy practitioners, researchers, and those involved in service evaluation or clinical audit. Key deadlines: abstracts due 31 October 2025. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Oncology Pharmacy Practice.
