A roadmap for the advancement of community pharmacy in Latin America has been launched by the Pharmaceutical Forum of the Americas (PFA).
Built over more than two years with pharmacy organisations across Latin America and in close alignment with FIP, the roadmap moves beyond identifying challenges to set out a regional framework for action. It highlights priority areas for strengthening community pharmacy, developing the pharmaceutical workforce, expanding professional services, integrating pharmacists within health systems, and shaping the regulatory and policy frameworks needed to support the evolution of health care towards 2030.
The report recognises the region's diversity while setting out a shared vision for the contribution of community pharmacy to health and wellbeing by 2030, closely aligned with FIP's Strategic Plan for 2025 to 2030 and the FIP Development Goals.
