Today, FIP has published a new report showcasing the federation's largest-ever advocacy campaign at the 79th World Health Assembly (WHA79) in May.

With a delegation of 55 representatives from the FIP Board, organisations in membership, constituencies, the FIP Early Career Pharmaceutical Group and the FIP team, FIP was among the largest delegations in Geneva. Together, delegates represented pharmacy at more than 80 events and spoke at 15 partner events, expanding the profession's presence in global health discussions. FIP also hosted three side events on self-care, humanitarian action and access to medicines, and tobacco cessation.

The report demonstrates how FIP and its global membership continue to strengthen pharmacy's voice in shaping international health policy and advancing better health worldwide.

“Being present in Geneva during the most important event on the health governance calendar enabled [FIP] to foster [its] relationship with the World Health Organization (WHO), and provided an invaluable opportunity to witness, network, and influence global health policies, while championing the critical role of pharmacists, pharmacy educators and pharmaceutical scientists in global health,” said FIP president Paul Sinclair.
