FIP's status of a non-governmental organisation in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) has been successfully renewed.
The WHO assesses its collaboration with FIP every three years, based on joint work performed and areas for future collaboration. FIP and the WHO have been in official relations for over 70 years — ever since the WHO was established.
"The ongoing collaboration with the WHO and alignment of collaborative workstreams is strategically important for FIP and our membership. We look forward to continuing our official relations and ongoing support of each other’s missions," said FIP CEO Catherine Duggan.
The WHO announced this month that Luther Gwaza, a pharmacist from Zimbabwe, has been designated as its new technical officer for FIP. Find out more about FIP-WHO collaboration here.
