Eligibility for FIP Member Organisation membership
Member organisations are defined as:
- Legally constituted organisations that represent pharmacists, pharmacy educators and/or pharmaceutical scientists at the national, subnational or provincial level.
- Legally constituted organisations that are themselves made up of provincial or sub national organisations that represent individual pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists.
|
Member organisations serve as advocates for pharmacy practice, pharmacy education and/or pharmaceutical sciences, both nationally and internationally, in supporting and enabling pharmacists, pharmacy educators and pharmaceutical scientists in their practice while actively participating in FIP's programmes, policy-making, and decision-making processes and supporting fellow member organisations with their priorities where appropriate. While some member organisations may operate or provide services at the international level, their focus should primarily be to represent and advocate for the profession and/or pharmaceutical sciences within a specific country or part thereof. |

Membership fees
FIP member organisations contribute an annual membership fee that helps support FIP’s global work for pharmacy, pharmaceutical education and pharmaceutical sciences.
The fee is based on the number of pharmacy pharmacists, pharmacy educators and/or pharmaceutical scientists represented by the organisation, directly or indirectly.
To ensure fairness across different economic contexts, membership fees vary according to the organisation’s country income classification, as defined by the World Bank, and are subject to minimum and maximum limits.
Organisations based in low-income countries pay a fixed annual fee.
