- Abstract:
Background: Phytochemicals may modulate drug transporters consequently affecting the pharmacokinetics of co-administered drugs.
Aims: Caco-2 cells and excised pig jejunum tissue were evaluated for predicting herb-transporter-drug interactions. Fruit extracts were assessed as functional excipients incorporation in oral dosage forms.
Methods:.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
