The first legal attempt to systematize the teaching of technical diagnostics and therapeutics (TDT) in Portugal appeared in 1953 ([1]). In practice, the educational evolution began in 1961, in the Training and Technical Centers in Clinical Services Assistants ([2]), extended in 1980 by the Training and Technical Centers for Diagnosis and Therapy
