Shane Jackson has a broad background as a pharmacist. He is currently National Vice President of the Pharmaceutical Society. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Unit for Medication Outcomes Research and Education (UMORE), School of Pharmacy, University of Tasmania, and a board member of the Australian Association of Consultant Pharmacy
