Biography D.M. Barends

Dirk Maarten Barends was educated as a pharmacist and high school teacher in chemistry. After having obtained this grade in pharmacy in 1976 he hold a position at the University of Utrecht, lecturing on quality control/quality assurance. After his Ph.D. in 1985 he took a position as Head of Quality Control in the pharmaceutical industry.
