Introduction: Oral or swallowed portion of inhaled salbutamol undergoes first-pass metabolism. Nasal delivery is supposed to protect drugs from hepatic first-pass metabolism. Mucoadhesive in-situ gels for salbutamol sulfate (SS) with gellan gum were formulated and tested in rats.
Methods: SS in-situ gels (2% w/w) were prepared in deionized water.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
