Background
Carbapenem is typically reserved for treatment of multidrug-resistant pathogens, yet its usage has been increasing globally. Carbapenem misuse can lead to carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae. Antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) aims to improve clinical outcomes and reduce antibiotic-associated Clostridium difficile infection..
