Backgrounds
Earlier it was possible to get a vitamin D test at the GPs in Denmark. However, due to growing public health insurance expenses, it was decided that the GPs do not test patients’ vitamin D level unless they show symptoms on vitamin D deficiency. This is a problem because patients can have vitamin D deficiency without symptoms.
