Backgrounds
Background: Solid erodible matrices are suitable for potent drugs that require extended release for optimal therapeutic effect. The matrices need to be heated to a fluid state to encapsulate. Gelatin softgels are not possible due to the low melt point of the films; semi-solid matrices are often hot-filled into hardshell capsules...
