  Backgrounds

   The procedures reported in literature for simultaneous assay of artesunate and amodiaquine hydrochloride include indirect colorimetric assay and high performance liquid chromatography.  These methods are cost-intensive and have their demerits,which impair their functionality especially in sub-Saharan Africa.
