    Backgrounds

Accurately predicting hepatic clearance from in vitro results is crucial in the selection process of new molecular entities for clinical development.  However, current in vitro-in vivo extrapolation methods often lead to underprediction, particularly for compounds that are highly protein bound and substrates for uptake transporters.
