Backgrounds
Approved drugs include approximately 35% bases, 20% acids, 30% ampholytes and 15% neutrals. The properties of ionisable compounds are highly influenced by the pH of the environment. The pH range in gastrointestinal tract is from ~2 to ~9. Commonly absorption related properties, permeability and solubility, for drug candidates is..
