  In Brazil, the Specialised Component of Pharmaceutical Assistance (SCPA) is a program for the supply of high-cost medicines. It receives from the government  an annual investment of about US$ 2,13 billion aiming to ensure the completeness of treatments based on Clinical Protocols and Therapeutic Guidelines (CPTG) that clearly establish criteria..
