  • Abstract:

Gemcitabine and carboplatin are the primary chemotherapy for consecutive patients presenting with locally advanced or metastatic transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of the urothelium. However, chemotherapy may induce hepatitis B virus reactivation in the hepatitis B carriers.

A 51-year-old HBV carrier was diagnosed with stage IV TCC of urothelium.
