  In 2002, we reported that a novel timed-release tablet, a suitable dosage form for chronopharmacotherapy, can be prepared by the compression-coating method using conventional hydrophilic polymers.

  Aminophylline was chosen as a model drug of chronopharmaceutical tablet.  Low-substitute hydroxypropylcellulose (L-HPC) and cross-povidone (Cross-PVP)
