  1. Background
  Diabetes mellitus (DM) and its complications have been major cause of death in theworld. A new glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) analog, liraglutide, was availablein medical hospital in April 2013. Liraglutide and exenatide are both GLP-1analogs, however, patients often withdraw exenatide due to adverse effects.
