    I. Background Aspirin tablets are often enteric coated in order to reduce gastric toxicity. These tablets may be purchased in a supermarket or pharmacy or obtained on prescription. It is desirable that the tablets release appropriately both when purchased and after storage, sometimes not in optimal conditions (such as car/bathroom etc).
