  Introduction: Patients have the right to access high quality information, however the hands of industry are tied in facilitating this access. I will focus on prescription-only-medicines of innovative pharmaceutical companies in Europe. The main communication documents are the Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC) and the package leaflet (PL).
