In an era characterized by increasing antibiotic resistance, we face an uphill task in keeping our current antibiotics efficacious and introducing newer ones. Responding to the situation has become a priority for the governments, physicians, and the industry alike. Estimates suggest 700,000 people are dying each year – one person every minute.
