    Cardiovascular diseases are the leading global cause of premature mortality. The World Health Organization has set a target of 25 by 25, i.e., to reduce premature deaths from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by 25 per cent by 2025. Recent evidence suggests that pharmacists are poised to help meet this target.
