A practical walkthrough demonstrates how to assess local context, gather credible evidence, tailor recommendations, and prepare a brief for dissemination. The session also highlights student contributions, common pitfalls, useful resources, and strategies for translating completed briefs into advocacy action.

Psoriasis is a chronic condition that can significantly affect people’s health, wellbeing and quality of life. Pharmacists are well placed to support people living with psoriasis, but this requires an understanding of the condition, its impact on daily life and the challenges people face with treatment. Advocacy Frameworks and Resources: From Identifying an Issue to Planning Action: How can pharmacists turn a shared concern into a focused advocacy strategy? This session bridges introductory advocacy concepts with the challenges and emerging trends that shape advocacy in practice. Using expanding pharmacist immunization services as a case example within the broader issue of scope of practice, participants explore why frameworks strengthen advocacy, compare approaches, conduct a basic stakeholder analysis, and map an issue through the policy lifecycle. The session also highlights local and international resources to support strategy development. Recognizing that pharmacist roles and policy environments differ worldwide, the session emphasizes selecting frameworks, resources, and strategies that fit the local context while drawing on shared experiences. This session is a part of the FIP Academic Section and IPSF Micro curriculum.

The results of an AcPS Working Group #4 projects revealed that pharmacists interested in an academic career or very new faculty members needed very basic skills development in the fundamentals of research. Evidence indicated this special need for tailored career development pathways and resources for pharmacists considering academic careers, as well as for early-career educators seeking to expand their professional trajectories. This second digital event in the series is designed to introduce participants to the very beginning of research methods.

Healthcare training has traditionally happened in professional silos, yet strong evidence shows that interprofessional collaborative practice (IPCP) improves quality, coordination and health outcomes. This webinar explores the state of interprofessional education (IPE) across the Americas, the barriers institutions face at educational, institutional and systemic levels, and strategies to build sustainable IPE programmes. Participants will also be introduced to the FIP Interprofessional Education Readiness Tool, a self-assessment instrument designed to help institutions identify gaps, benchmark progress internationally and strengthen collaborative practice-ready training for future health professionals.
