Views on the role of pharmacists in health literacy and identifying pharmacy-led actions for improving health literacy in everyday practice are published today in a report of a FIP gathered international advisory round table. Topics discussed at the roundtable included barriers to improving health literacy in pharmacies, and opportunities and solutions to focus on in practice. Another roundtable was hosted by FIP following the symposium “Health inclusivity and the role of pharmacy” in Seville, Spain, in September 2022. Experts discussed how to help pharmacists continue to drive improved patient health outcomes through health inclusivity, agency and empowerment. Key insights from this roundtable are shared in second report also published today.
